Texas is a wonderful state - beautiful state parks, great food, superb drinks, and that fabulous Texas country music. I love the state of Texas, so I finally set out to blog my favorites things to do, places to see, and of course all the steak, bbq, tex-mex, pizza, and wine, beer, and frozen margaritas that make Texas the best country in the world. This is my Texas Best blog about my favorite steaks, state parks, wine, Texas country music, and bunch of other Texas stuff!

I live in Houston, so I cover more Houston restaurants and bars. I love traveling the Texas hill country and camping at Texas state parks. The best places to visit in Texas are all within a day’s drive of Houston: fun trips to Austin, vacationing at the San Antonio Riverwalk, tubing in New Braunfels, and other random Texas fun like collecting antiques or tours of remote places like the Cowboy Capital of the World - Bandera, or Marfa, home of the mysterious Marfa lights!

I like to do fun stuff all over Texas. Of course I love steak, and our fabulous tex-mex, and I’m sure to choose a great cabernet for the ribeye or a frozen ‘rita with salt for the beef enchilada platter. I’m a big fan of Texas country music - with the likes of Pat Green, Kevin Fowler, Cory Morrow, and even going back to Willie Nelson and George Strait.

If it’s Texan, I’ll likely have something to say about it. I might even sneak in some sports, a few recipes, traditional tourist attractions and must see sights in Texas, Houston, and Texas Hill Country - and I’ll be sure to throw in a few random “scenic route” places.
